Alumina porcelain

Oxide ceramics with Al2O3-SiO2 as the main component and a certain amount of mineralizers such as Ba, Ca, Zr, and Mg belong to alumina porcelain. The content of Al2O3 is between 45% and 99%. According to the main crystal phase, alumina porcelain can be divided into corundum porcelain (Corundum, Al2O3>95%), mullite porcelain (Mullite, Al2O3-50%), and mullite-corundum porcelain (Al2O3-75%). Alumina porcelain is mainly used in petrochemical industry, metal smelting, desulfurization tower, reactor, packing tower, etc., as a supporting material and tower packing for catalysts in reactors. Due to its good mechanical properties, chemical stability and heat resistance, alumina porcelain can adapt well to high temperature, high pressure and highly corrosive working environment.

Mullite

Mullite is a general term for a series of minerals composed of aluminum silicate, mainly including high-purity fused mullite, ordinary fused mullite, all-natural bauxite concentrate sintered mullite and light-burned mullite. Natural mullite crystals are elongated needles and radiating clusters, with a melting temperature of about 1910°C. This type of mineral rough stone is relatively rare and is mostly artificially synthesized. Mullite is a mineral formed from aluminosilicates at high temperatures. Mullite is formed when aluminosilicates are artificially heated. Mullite has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, high strength, small thermal conductivity, and significant energy-saving effect. Its refractory resistance is particularly excellent. The refractory resistance is still very stable at 1800°C. It will decompose into corundum and liquid phase at 1810°C. It has many uses. It is used in the production of refractory materials and is widely used in ceramics, metallurgy, casting, electronics and other industries.

Dense high alumina and dense cordierite

Due to the porosity and high density of the dense honeycomb ceramic heat storage body, this product has many advantages that ordinary products do not have, such as low water absorption (0-5%), high density, high heat storage capacity, large specific surface area, fast heat storage speed and high acid and alkali resistance. It is not easy to be blocked, silicon-resistant and salt-resistant.

Silicon carbide

Silicon carbide (SiC) is made of quartz sand, petroleum coke (or coal coke), sawdust (salt is needed to produce green silicon carbide) and other raw materials through high-temperature smelting in a resistance furnace. It is a carbide with a Mohs hardness of 9.5, second only to the world's hardest diamond (10), with excellent thermal conductivity. It is a semiconductor and can resist oxidation at high temperatures. Among contemporary non-oxide high-tech refractory raw materials such as C, N, and B, silicon carbide is the most widely used and economical one, which can be called diamond sand or refractory sand. Common industrially produced silicon carbide is divided into black silicon carbide and green silicon carbide, both of which are hexagonal crystals with a specific gravity of 3.20-3.25 and a microhardness of 2840-3320kg/mm². Silicon carbide has the characteristics of stable chemical properties, high thermal conductivity, small thermal expansion coefficient, and good wear resistance. The advanced refractory materials made of it are resistant to thermal shock, small in size, light in weight, high in strength, and have good energy-saving effects

Cordierite, also known as water sapphire, dichroic stone, has a chemical formula of Mg2Al4Si5O18; it may contain elements such as Na, K, Ca, Fe, Mn and H2O. It is found in schist, gneiss and altered igneous rocks. It is a silicate mineral that can be colorless, but usually has a light blue or light purple color and a glassy luster. Magnesium cordierite can be synthesized artificially and used in refractory materials. Cordierite can be used to make materials such as ceramics and glass due to its good refractoriness and low thermal expansion rate. It is now commonly used as a raw material for the honeycomb carrier of car purifiers.
